Dev M. Devendra, ACMA

Dev is a seasoned Program / Project Manager and IT Manager with extensive experience in the telecommunications, IT consulting, software development, banking, insurance and government industry sectors, successfully delivering on business applications development, enterprise application integration, technology centric process re-engineering and business transformation initiatives.

Dev has in-depth expertise with complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems and deployment projects.

Recently as President & CEO of MedGlobal Health, he researched the market potential for medical tourism and medical services outsourcing. Dev created the vision and strategy for MedGlobal Health, a start-up venture, and developed the o-MSO (Offshore Medical Services Outsourcing) business model for the company.

He has extensive consulting, senior line management and functional experience with leading companies such as Nortel Networks, Bell Distribution, Rogers AT&T Wireless, AT&T Canada, IBM Canada, Response Logic, SunLife Financial, National Trust, Scotia Bank, Mortgage Insurance Company of Canada, Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, Liquor Control Board of Ontario, Gillette Canada and Oral-B Laboratories.

Dev is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of U.K., and has studied Computational Science at the University of Leeds in England.

Telecommunications Industry Experience

    • Enterprise Application Integration at Bell Distribution integrating a $2 Million Channel / Dealer Commissioning system with Bell Canada and Bell Mobility legacy provisioning and billing systems and SAP Financial systems.
    • $1.3 Million software development project to build a standardized North American Telco Service Order Provisioning and Inventory Management system (eNOS) at IBM Canada.
    • $1.5 Million project using a phased approach to developing and implementing a corporate Performance Measurement and Reporting System (PMRS) at AT &T Canada. Led a complex sub-project to create an innovative costing model working with a leading edge specialist, to assign network assets and operating costs to AT&T Canada products.
    • Implemented Activity Based Costing at AT &T Canada, and provided detailed activity costs and value analysis to support Business Process Transformation efforts.
    • Developed the core New Hire Process to deliver a fully productive employee on day one at Nortel Networks. Developed field trial guidelines and global deployment strategy for a web-based workflow tool, and spearheaded the development of a metrics reporting process and system to track process health.
    • Directed the conversion of business critical Call Center applications to Y2K ready desktop environment at Rogers AT &T Wireless. Lead the Quality Assurance team testing and certifying Call Center applications and desktops.

 

Financial Industry Experience

    • Managed a $1.5 Million portfolio of projects including new application development, enhancements, product launch and year-end tax processing for Individual Service IT and Product Development business areas at Sun Life Financial.
    • Developed a Performance Measurement Reporting (PMR) system supporting Sales and Service Manager Compensation for 175 Retail Banking Branches nation wide at National Trust.
    • Evaluated the adequacy of Year 2000 compliance readiness at Scotia Bank.
    • Developed and executed 5 and 10 year company business models at the Mortgage Insurance Company of Canada to determine the effect of alternate restructuring plans and capital infusion strategies, and presented the analysis to Senior Management.
